- Description: The CDSS includes drug interaction checking, best of care guidelines, formulary guidance, resource usage management, and reporting lab data. There are numerous tools within the CPOE to activate decision support, including display of corollary orders in the user interface, quick hotlinks to information, in-linewarnings related to medications, etc.

- Quality of Care and Patient Safety Outcome: 73% of respondents agreed or strongly agreed that the system improved the quality of care that they provided to their patients, 56% that guidelines help them provide quality patient care, and 95% that the computer-generated rounding report helps them provide quality care.
- Changes in efficiency and productivity: 80% of respondents agreed or strongly agreed that the system improved their efficiency overall. 77% agreed or strongly agreed that "order sets" improved efficiency, 69% that "personalized order sets" improved efficiency, and 67% that "archived orders" improved efficiency.
