This project will create and evaluate a learning network to expand the use of the Rheumatology Informatics System for Effectiveness (RISE) registry for patient-reported outcomes on rheumatoid arthritis.

Trial of Aggregate Data Extraction for Maintenance of Certification and Raising Quality

Description: 

This project created and evaluated a process to present quality data via physician’s online certification portal and found that the availability of that data did not result in improvement of quality measures.

Description: 

This project will develop and validate new measures needed for automatically identifying violations of the “Five Rights of Medication Safety”: right patient, right dose, right medication, right route, and right frequency.

Development of Dashboards to Provide Feedback to Home Care Nurses

Description: 

This project designed and conducted a usability evaluation of dashboards that provide feedback to home care nurses to improve the care of patients with chronic heart failure, and found that the dashboard prototype had high usability and was evaluated positively by users.

Computer-Supported Management of Medical-Legal Issues Impacting Child Health

Description: 

This project expanded and modified the Child Health Improvement through Computer Automation (CHICA) system to assist pediatricians in identifying and managing four common medical-legal problems that may adversely impact child health, and found initial findings to be inconclusive.
