The Emergence of Community and Statewide Health Information Exchange (HIE) (Technical Assistance Event)

Overall Purpose:

As Health Information Exchanges (HIEs) gain traction in the marketplace, they provide ample opportunities for health IT research. In this Webinar, speakers discuss the emergence of different approaches to HIE, including the data repository model and the directed exchange model, and how each approach is playing out at the State and community level. The presentations are followed by a discussion centered on how HIE will affect current research projects and the new research questions arising given recent HIE evolution.
