In phase 1 of HISPC, the Mississippi team completed the work summarized above. In phase 2, each state implemented a state-specific project and planned for multi-state collaboration in phase 3. Mississippi's phase 2 project produced two major products: a Web site that provides information and education for healthcare professionals and consumers on the private and secure exchange of health care information; and a web based continuing education self-study module HIPAA Basics: Privacy and Security Issues designed for anyone interested in knowing the basics about HIPAA and healthcare information privacy and security.
