New Hampshire

Team Description

This project is a public-private collaboration that seeks to examine variations in business practices, policies and state laws related to the privacy and security of health information. The goal of the project is to explore barriers to implementing the secure and safe exchange of health information between providers in the state to enhance the quality of care for all New Hampshire citizens. The project will help inform a larger effort, New Hampshire Connects for Health, which is examining the potential for creating a more effective and interconnected system of health care information in the state.

The project is funded through a subcontract to RTI International under the Privacy and Security Solutions for Interoperable Health Information Exchange contract funded by the Agency for Healthcare Quality and Research (AHRQ) and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) within the US Department of Health and Human Services.
